Lavender Lemonade

Recipe from "101+ Recipes from The Herb Lady"

INGREDIENTS

8 fresh lavender flower blossoms (the whole flower stalk), or 1 tablespoon dried lavender flowers
1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup of boiling water
1 cup sugar
3 1/4 cups of mixed ice and water


DIRECTIONS

Place fresh juice in pitcher
Pour boiling water over lavender, add sugar and stir until clear.  Let steep 15 minutes. Stir well to make sure all sugar is dissolved, strain into pitcher of juice.  Stir.  Add mixed water and ice.  Stir until all ice is melted.  Keep chilled, serve within 3 days.  Garnish wish lavender stalk if desired.
